Mental Health First Aid Training

The Breckland Mental Health Community Partnership is running a 'Mindful Towns' Project and we at E G Grounds Care Ltd are delighted to be part of it.

Mental Health Championing training is available to Breckland community organisations, small businesses and residents with the aim to promote mental health awareness and to create 'Mindful' communities and workplaces. Last week, I attended a two day Mental Health First Aid Training course, a nationally recognised qualification from Mental Health First Aid England. The training introduced us to a Mental Health First Aid Action plan, and how to apply the principles to issues such as depression, anxiety disorders, self-harm, eating disorders, suicidal crisis and psychosis. The group was extremely friendly and each attendee brought their own experiences and skills to discussions and workshops. I met a fabulous group of individuals who are all now upskilled and able to support others who may find themselves in need of mental health support or guidance in our community. The Charles Burrell Centre in Thetford provided an amazing service too, a huge thank you to everyone involved in providing this opportunity.
